Suit: Insurance Company Defrauding Californians
Austin Insurance Claim Lawyer Texas Insurance Case Attorney
A lawsuit has been filed in Los Angeles against a national health insurance company, accusing it of providing its California customers with worthless "junk insurance." HealthMarkets Inc. has been "defrauding" California investors by providing them with insurance that has "hidden or obscure" terms, the suit states. The suit also alleges company owners Goldman Sachs and Blackstone were aware of the insurance scams when they bought a majority stake in HealthMarkets in 2006. Duke Helfand, LA Times 10/21/2010
