Woman charged in hit-and-run crash with bicylist

An Austin woman who police say seriously injured a bicyclist in a hit-and-run crash off Interstate 35 on Thursday has been charged with intoxication assault and failure to stop and render aid, according to an arrest affidavit said.
Police say Lacey Marie Seljos, 23, struck the bicyclist about 12:30 a.m. while driving north on I-35 near the Williamson County line, the affidavit said. The bicyclist suffered injuries to his head and knees and was taken to a nearby hospital, the affidavit said.
An Austin police officer reported that she saw Seljos swerve out of her lane, strike the bicyclist and leave the scene, the affidavit said. The officer followed Seljos, who pulled into a nearby business and told officers that she wasn’t aware that she had struck someone, the affidavit said.
Seljos was not shown booked in Travis County jail as of Friday, jail records show.
